Description:

Overview:

Communities play a vital role in promoting hope and preventing suicide. But how can they find easy-to-use, high-quality resources to advance their efforts? The Community-Led Suicide Prevention website provides a step-by-step process and how-to tools that help communities create and reach suicide prevention goals.

Please join us for a special Suicide Prevention Month preview of the new website and hear about the community efforts that helped shape these tools. We’ll include a facilitated discussion among participants and presenters.

Developed by EDC with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in partnership with the Safe States Alliance, the new website is inspired by The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention’s Transforming Communities report and CDC’s suicide prevention strategies.

Presenters:

Julie Ebin, EDC

Anne Geisinger, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services

Elaine deMello, NAMI New Hampshire
